KYLE CASEY, Stratford Cullitons #14
2001-2002, 2002-2003, 2003-2004, 2004-2005

Growing up in Stratford, my dream wasn’t to play in the NHL… it was to play for the Cullitons. As a kid, nothing was better than watching the Cullitons play on Friday nights. Putting the iconic jersey on for the first time and skating out front of a packed crowd on opening night is something that I will never forgot. I was fortunate enough to play on four fantastic Cullitons teams, winning back-to-back Sutherland Cups in 2003 and 2004. Of course, the memories of those championship runs will last forever, but it’s the life-long friendships that I cherish the most about my time as a Stratford Culltion. Getting together with teammates from 15+ years ago at recent alumni games, golf tournaments, Warrior games, etc. and still laughing and reminiscing about the past has been great. We didn’t have many local players when I played, so it was especially rewarding for me to play on the best junior hockey team in Ontario for four years.

I can’t thank Dennis Flanagan, Phil Westman, and all my teammates for providing me with a lifetime of great memories.
